Overall, my stay at this Aparthotel was great. Although the pool was not operable, everything else was great. It is walkable to Nelson Mandela Square and the Huge Sandton City Mall. Safe walk during daylight hours. The hotel also provides a shuttle every hour coming and going to the mall and Mandela Square (which are right next to each other). Lots of shops, restaurants, and a huge grocery store that carries everything from food, personal products, to housewares. Think Super-Walmart, (but better quality) The mall carries everything from basic to very high-end fashion houses.
I stayed in the 1-bedroom apartment and the unit was very spacious and nicer than I had anticipated. The apartment came with a large combo living room/dining area, A huge couch, a kitchen combo with a full stove and oven, a large balcony and nice-sized bedroom. I believe it had a king-sized bed. The bathroom had a tub and a separate shower.
In the future, I would ask for a room with a view, as opposed to looking into other rooms.
The staff was great, especially Murielle (not sure of the spelling of his name) and Patricia at the front desk, as well as the shuttle van driver. The staff were professional and always greeted me.
The breakfast was delicious with many options. I've stayed in many hotels around the world. The morning breakfast (which came with my room) would rank high on my list of favorites.
The gym was on the smaller side but adequate.
I plan to book again. I highly recommend!
