Far from 5 Stars – Stay Away

I stayed at this hotel expecting a true 5-star experience, but it was nothing of the sort. My stay was completely ruined by loud, inconsiderate neighbors, and despite contacting the staff multiple times, absolutely nothing was done. For a hotel that markets itself as luxury, the lack of action was shocking. A 5-star property should ensure peace, comfort, and professionalism, but instead I was left with sleepless nights and a sense that guests’ concerns simply don’t matter. When management can’t handle something as basic as providing a quiet environment for rest, the “five stars” mean nothing. If you value proper service, respect, and a restful stay, do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. This hotel is all show and no substance.

The breakfast was excellent – the best I've had in Tallinn. Vegan options were well considered in all aspects of the breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for the breakfast alone. The rooftop terrace has a lovely atmosphere, and the skyline is beautiful at sunset. However, the drink I had was overpriced considering its quality, even taking the location into account. The spa is stylish, clean, and elegant. However, I'd like to offer a suggestion for improving the spa experience: A very simple thing – when a guest arrives for a massage, they should be welcomed and given the opportunity to change into a robe or more comfortable clothing. If someone arrives in travel or business attire, it’s important that they can change clothes and take a shower after the treatment, rather than having to put regular clothes back on over massage oil. This would be a small adjustment for the hotel, but a significant improvement for the guest. I’ve never before encountered a situation where a client isn’t received properly or allowed to change or use the shower/restroom before or after a massage. Instead, I was told to wait until I was taken into the treatment room – only a couple of minutes before the massage began – and had to change clothes there. The spa itself was high-quality, and the massage was very good, but this seemingly minor issue ended up leaving a slightly negative impression – and unfortunately, oily clothes.

Great hotel but don’t stay on the 22nd floor!

The hotel was lovely, great selection at breakfast and all fresh. Friendly staff. Great location for exploring Tallinn. The review would have been excellent if it wasn’t for our last evening. Our room was on the 22nd floor which offered great views but not great if you have a private event in the bar above on floor 24. We were kept awake with the boom boom boom beat booming through to our room. I rang down to reception at 1.30am asking when the music would stop and I was told 2am but that they would speak to the bar to see if the volume could be turned down. The noise level was not reduced, if anything it got louder! I rang reception again at 1.40am asking again if the music level could be reduced as it was keeping us awake, but we still could hear it. By 2.35am (I was previously told the music would stop at 2am) I had had enough of not being able to sleep and rang reception again, this time I spoke to a gentleman who apologised and said he would certainly speak to the bar. By 2.45am the music level was reduced so we were no longer able to hear the boom boom boom best, finally! By this time we were exhausted from lack of sleep but I was then unable to finally get to sleep until 4.30am. If the hotel know that the music in the bar can be heard in rooms on the 22nd floor and the hotel has a private event then they should not put guests on that floor unless they are attending the event! This was a disappointing end to our stay n Tallinn.
