Perfect to roll out of bed and catch a flight

While it was a little more than what we wanted to pay, nothing beats literally rolling out of bed at 4am and walking 3 minutes to the Departures area. We easily caught a train and used the bus to grab dinner because it's hard to "walk into town". But the bus access was quick and simple. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the roo was really quiet. I would love to always catch my plane on vacation like this.

The hotel location is great, the rooms are very good, but the front desk check-in needs some improvement. It is very slow and the staff could be more professional. I feel the hotel is cutting back on costs at the front desk, which isn't good for a first impression.

Does it have to be like this?

It’s an airport hotel, I know. And the standard is actually quite good. But it’s just exhausting to endure slow service, arrogant staff, and overpriced everything just because of the proximity to an airport. Does it have to be like this? I mean, I guess I can pay a little extra, but poor management (which is always the reason for bad hotel products) makes it so hard to accept. +60 minute wait for an overcooked 600NOK steak, anyone? Or even longer for a 400NOK Bouillabaisse that's lukewarm? Oh well, there’s always 90NOK chili nuts in the bar — if you can get the staffs attention that is. It is very, very close to the airport though....
