Location is suburb for those who are planning to visit San Diego or the ferry to Catalina Island. The marina area is a must to visit; wonderful for runners or guests to walk in the park. Staff is very courteous and helpful with travel planning. Highly recommend for a visit to many beautiful communities along the Pacific Coast Hgy.

We were in Dana Point visiting family for the weekend. The hotel was clean, nothing exceptional. We brought our dogs with us. There are several areas close where they can do their business. The restaurants adding the Inn are very expensive, more than the typical California restaurants.

It’s my understanding that this hotel is scheduled to be torn down so it looks like they’re doing the bare minimum to keep it up. However, you just can’t beat the location in the harbor and for that reason I would stay here again. Just be prepared to have to ask for towels at the hotel pool, which is actually quite nice and know that it’s pretty worn.

Location, location, location. You cannot beat this hotel for accessibility to harbor and restaurants. Walking distance to Ocean Institute. Ritz Carlton it is not but for the price, you cannot beat this hotel. This is our third time and will return!
