Beautiful hotel and grounds
Great Fosters is a beautiful hotel, with stunning grounds and an idyllic heated outdoor pool. Our more modern room - a super spacious king suite - was comfortable and air conditioned. Breakfast was of a good standard, a bit limited compared to my expectations but good quality. Our only complaint was that drinks service in the bar was painfully slow.

Beautiful Gardens
Beautiful property with stunning gardens. Doesn’t feel like 5 star luxury though. The carpet on the stairs was filthy and the food was just okay

The hotel is charming and the grounds are beautiful. However, all rooms in the main house have no AC, which is very uncomfortable during the summer months.
They are severely understaffed (especially when they have an event/wedding), with most employees being part-timers or new to the property. The staff was very friendly and polite, just overwhelmed.
The rooms(& bathrooms) could do with a little refurb.
Overall, great potential, but they could elevate the experience & property a lot more.

Great but service needs work
This is a lovely hotel really nice location surroundings are beautiful. Rooms are comfy it's modern even though the building and surroundings are historic. Largely it's great
Be mindful of rooms. Mine although comfortable with the window open I could hear car doors slamming at 6am and noisy talking in other rooms
I found it strange to be offered late checkout only to be found that it came at a cost. That cost of £50 didn't give me the luxury to carry on using the pool till the end of the day and only to the end of the late checkout which seems a bit unnecessary
The pool service was very slow and I found it very strange to be served by men in shoes and suits. All unnecessarily stuffy.

Beautiful property - we got the teepees for the kids to kids to sleep under and they were over the moon. Afternoon tea outside in the garden was gorgeous. Thank you Great Fosters for a lovely stay

3 star service
This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The manicured gardens are stunning. The heated outdoor pool and hot tub have a beautiful setting. My only problem is the lack of training the staff seem to have had. Service is 3 star at best. Breakfast is lacking choice and quality. Despite that we will still stay there the next time we go to Ascot as it's just so beautiful

Perfect
What a beautiful place. So handy for Heathrow with not being a busy airport hotel. Allow time for the grounds and gardens
Stunning gardens, very romantic beautiful setting, old hotel, from 1600, lots of history and respect for the architecture, youngish staff at the restaurant, not so well trained waiters and staff at reception. No spa, only outdoor pool, although very well heated, one Michelin star restaurant, another one non Michelin, very creeky floors in the rooms, very hot in the rooms, windows need to be constantly open despite no hot temperatures. Not enough room to stay comfortably with a family even in a suite. Nice stay but won’t be back.
