The hotel is conveniently located in a nice part of Taipei within walking distance to the SOGO luxury department stores. The hotel service is good and the newer style hotel rooms while small — offer understated elegance and offer basic but much appreciated amenities. The onsite public bath and hotel restaurant are nice features. The double twin beds offer more room than the single queen corner room.

Very comfortable stay

Everything feels new and clean, the housekeeping has done a great job! The mrt station is just right outside the hotel hence superb accessibility. Service is great generally and the front desk staff Ms Emily Yu is very accommodating. Overall great stay and we will be back when we visit Taipei again.

Our friends booked this hotel so we followed suit. It turned out a pretty good experience for us. Convenience is the key word. A metro station is right next to the hotel. It’s a quieter neighborhood so we rest well. Few places we planned to go are within walking distance. My wife like Mr Brown Cafe few buildings down.

All that you can ask for

This is home away from home. We arrived early to catch a half day tour. When we arrived in the afternoon, our luggage was already set up in our room. Such a small gesture that meant a lot for travelers who have come a long way. The place is immaculately clean that I don't want to disturb the room with my mess. The metro is just beside the hotel that it is convenient to just use the metro than take a taxi( if only we know when we arrive). I will not hesitate to use the same hotel if ever i go back to Taipei

The location really can’t be beat, just a one-minute walk from Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT Exit 3, which made getting around super easy. Check-in on the night of 15 June was a bit underwhelming. The front desk staff that night wasn’t very warm. I politely asked if it was possible to be on the same floor as my family member, and she simply said “no” without any effort to assist or offer alternatives. While she did explain the hotel details, her tone felt robotic, not what you’d expect from a hotel of this standard. It also felt like she didn’t expect guests to check in around midnight (which was our case, at around 12am on 16 June). Aside from that, the rest of the staff were great. Most front desk and concierge team members were friendly and helpful. However, staff here tend to stick strictly to rules and procedures, which can feel a bit inflexible at times. One concierge staff member who helped with our luggage on 18 June stood out for the wrong reason, he seemed impatient and unfriendly. The 2nd floor lounge was as cozy as always, but the midnight closing time felt a little early for guests looking for a quiet place to unwind later at night. Housekeeping was excellent. Every staff member we encountered was polite, efficient, and professional, definitely one of the highlights of our stay. This was our second time staying here after 2.5 years, and overall, the service has improved, likely to better cater to the many Japanese guests.
