A lovely hotel, with very helpful attentive staff. Rooftop bar and restaurant on the nineteenth floor. I didn’t get chance to use the Spa but it looked lovely. The Hotel is in a very safe area with good restaurants close by. Porto is a big City so it’s a 50 minute walk from the River and main area, but taxis are cheap and readily available.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. There were lovely touches like a free drink up on the rooftop bar, pastel du nata and port in our rooms which were great The staff were so kind to our two young children, giving them colouring and talking to them so kindly. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We booked an executive twin room and were told on arrival that we had been upgraded from that room (which would have been on the 10th, 11th or 12th floor) to Room 1706 near the top of the hotel, with a fantastic view out over Porto to the Douro River and even a little piece of the Atlantic Ocean. The room was extremely quiet and very comfortable (although the pillows could use an upgrade). The internet connection was out our first night, so neither TV nor wifi worked, but we told the desk staff about it when we went out our first morning and it was fixed by the time we got back. Breakfast was very nice, served in a very large room, with lots of choices (including port and sparkling wine!) and specialty coffees available by order. The hotel is not centrally located, but metro stops are within walking distance and the metro is very easy to use, and taxis (inexpensive by US standards) easily got us to train stations for day trips and to the airport for departure.

All the staff we interacted with were excellent, this started with the front desk all the way through to the breakfast and housekeeping staff. We were there during the 12-hour long countrywide power blackout and the staff handled the challenging situation extremely well. The hotel's location is a bit far from the historic district, but both step- on/off bus companies plus the public metro buses have stops just steps away from the front door. Our only complaint involves the facility itself. The carpets, plumbing, and furniture needed some replacing.

Great Location not too far out of town perfect for travelling into the centre if needed, very comfortable, wonderful breakfast, really enjoyed the swimming pool and hotub! all the staff are very helpful and welcoming! I enjoyed that the hotel was not too central as there were other places i wanted to go other than the center of the city. Would happily stay again!
