Troy, the evening host was great, he was friendly and helpful. The hotel is older and in desperate need of repair. The brackets that hold the shower curtain rod were broken on both ends, making it tedious to shower while worrying that the rod was going to fall on us. The window in the room was cracked all the way down. The safety latch for the door bar looked as if it had been kicked in. All 4 screws that held the lock plate in place were floating and one fell out when I tried to latch the door. Since I was there alone with my daughter and grandson, and after seeing some interesting people coming and going, I decided to roll the refrigerator in front of the door for security reasons. I should have asked to be moved to a different room for that reason alone, but it was late, there was supposedly only one other room vacant and honestly, I didn't expect the other room to be much better, considering what I'd seen so far. This was an extended stay hotel, that I'd found last minute due to having an emergency and needed to be in a particular area, so my options were limited. I don't mind an older facility and realize you can't necessarily control the guests activities, noise, band practice etc.., but the safety, security and cleanliness should kind of be a given. We stayed just one night and checked out.
