We stayed at this hotel twice during our Mexico trip – five nights at the start and one night before heading home. The building feels like it was built in the 60s/70s and, while refurbished over time, some corridors and communal spaces look dated. The rooms, however, are excellent: very comfortable beds, spotless bathrooms, and overall very well maintained.
Breakfast was good, though we had a frustrating experience. Guests with breakfast included are billed around 800 pesos, but without it the same meal costs 1200 pesos, which felt a bit misleading. Admittedly it was my mistake not to check if I have booked breakfast, but it left a poor impression.
Staff inside the hotel were friendly, but reception could be warmer. At this level, you expect a smile or welcoming comment, yet the front desk felt rather cold and transactional. Access is also tricky: you need to climb steps to reach reception, so heavy luggage requires help.
On the positive side, the pool has warm water, the grounds are clean and pleasant, and the property is well kept. The downside is the location: it’s right on a highway, with only one restaurant nearby, so taxis are needed to reach most areas. If you want to explore neighborhoods like Condesa, I’d recommend staying there instead.
Overall: comfortable rooms, a nice pool, and good breakfast, but dated communal areas, unwelcoming reception, and an inconvenient location.
