Bath and a view - Heaven

Have stayed here a few times and was amazed with the room yet again. We have a beautiful room with views on both dire lions over the estuary, the bath was the perfect thing to improve the room and having time to soak and relax.

Our recent stay at this hotel was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the breathtaking views and the serene atmosphere. The room was spotless, spacious and provided a comfortable retreat after a long day. The attention to detail in cleanliness and comfort made the stay even more enjoyable. The only aspect that could be improved is the breakfast. While it was adequate, the continental selection lacked variety, and items were not replenished as frequently as expected. A little more attention to this detail would elevate the overall experience. Despite this minor drawback, I highly recommend this hotel for its stunning views, impeccable rooms, and warm hospitality. I look forward to returning!" Would you like me to make any tweaks to the wording?

It is always lovely when I stay here! I find it very hard nowadays to find a clean hotel but Slebech is always clean and comfortable and I never have any problems. Breakfast was also lovely and the staff are very accommodating!

Peace and quiet in a lovely rural setting

Really lovely place to stay, peace and quiet is what we needed and its what we got. The staff here are amazing, so friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

8/10 Very good

Room was tidy and comfortable. Breakfast good, limited selection of food for a continental breakfast. Cooked food was good. Outside, the buildings looked very tired and needed a clean or paint along with the windows. Courtyard again, needed sprucing up. The grounds around the house were lovely and the walk to the productive garden and the old church were fabulous. Such a beautiful setting but the buildings a real let down. I do understand that it needs alot of money to repair/paint etc. So more an observation rather than a criticism as we wanted the room for 1 night and were out to a wedding party in the evening of our stay in Haverfordwest. Kind regards, Chris

Lack of Care

We felt that the hotel lacked a communal area. The room was quite small and while it was clean the fittings weren’t in the best condition. The curtain pole was loose and some of the furniture was a little shabby. The bathroom was clean and had a great shower. The restaurant wasn’t open for dinner the night that we stayed. The grounds and setting are lovely but the outside furniture was not very clean and didn’t look like it had been cleaned for some time. The room was relatively reasonably priced as I booked on the day that we stayed. If I had paid the usual rate for the room I would have been very disappointed.

Beautiful grounds to the hotel and the building is lovely. Issues we had were the room was way to hot with no way to turn off the heating in the room and no opening windows in the bedroom itself cant really sleep with the door open all night. Was offered a fan for the room but that just pushed hot air around. The jacuzzi bath smelt awful when the only set of jets that were working were turned on. Reported to reception they didnt seem to care that much and was assured that they would have it looked at during the day. Came back to be told that maintenance had looked and it was fine so tried again and still not working. Showed this to receptionist and was offered a free warm breakfast in "compensation" not really what you expect of a supposedly luxury hotel stay very dissapointed.

The estate is beautiful, unfortunately we could could dine only one night in the restaurant due to refurbishment works in the restaurant. However the breakfast during our entire stay in the restaurant was excellent. Rooms were decent. Loved the patio on the backside of room over looking the green garden. Staff was friendly. They also decorated the room on request for my husband’s birthday. Our dog was welcomed everywhere on the estate. Restaurant had separate section allowed with dog. Overall good stay. We will visit again.

Lovely place to stay for a break, quiet and serene. Walking path was blocked by fallen trees but it was still a unique experience.

Nice location, a few hiccups though

Restaurant wasnt open. Was told i was emailed about it but i wasnt. No window curtain, only a blind and it was bright all night, due to the flood light outside. Sink tap ony dispensed hot water, no cold. Excellent shower and wifi though and comfy bed.

Disappointing stay

When driving into the estate you are greeted with a stunning view of the estuary and the building itself. We booked a premium room for our anniversary and got our key shortly after turning up. The room itself upon entering was really something. You can see effort has been made to make the room special. However, when taking a further look, it doesn't appear to have been looked after. There were stains/marks over the curtains and cushions. The curtains were also not able to be closed fully as they looked to have been partially pulled off of the rings. The bathroom was directly behind the bed with only a wall separating it from the room (no door). I didn't feel comfortable using the toilet given it was so close to the bed! Our evening meal at the restaurant was very pleasant, service was good and food was lovely. The complimentary breakfast (continental) was poor. We were greeted by staff and asked to take a seat, we sat for 25 minutes and had no service. We ended up leaving with no breakfast as a result. Overall, I left with mixed feelings. I loved the location but the other factors let it down.

Very nice but short staffed and it shows

Stayed (4 rooms) here as the start point for our group tour through Wales. The location is fabulous, the building itself clearly has a lot of history, the room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable and the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. However, and unfortunately, this is where the positives end. Upon arrival and after paying I was informed that the restaurant wasnt open on a sunday (the website and info in each room says different) which considering all of us had driven at least 4 hours to get there and the hotel is nowhere near a walkable restaurant. I was then told that the bar wasnt open either, which meant they had no indoor communal area. Had this been December and out of season I'd have half accepted that certain amenities wouldn't be available. But we were there in late June, high season! In the course of our business we spend a lot of time with small groups in hotels. Everywhere from Scotland to The Alps and even in the depths of the "off" season there has always been food and an indoor area to socialise. For what is claimed as a luxury hotel this, for me, is completely unacceptable. Then to top it off we had to book a timeslot for breakfast because "the restaurant isn't big enough for the number of guests the hotel can accommodate". Normally this isnt an issue as we have a tour beginning from there. For the record, the carpark holds maybe 8 cars so I'm not sure where this claimed vast amount of guests would have parked.

Attention to detail is lacking

The Hotel itself was lovely, but no toiletries supplied. Only 1 bottle of water. Attention to detail is missing in this hotel. Had to send my main meal back as it was awful. No waitress came to check if it was OK.

Having never been to South West Wales before, we used Slebech as a base for visiting Tenby, Pembroke, St David’s, and the Pembroke coast path, a plan that worked very well. The Park has some pretty good walks itself, our room was spacious, smart, and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent.
