Nice historical hotel

We stayed two nights at the « Commonwealth » and appreciated our stay. Be aware that some rooms have a window with no view (the window faces the wall) and this is not clearly stated on the reservation. We had to upgrade to another room as we cannot stand not seeing the outside. Otherwise, rooms are nice and big, there is a need of better communication from the front desk personnel so that we feel welcome (a smile is free of charge)

Overall this is an excellent Hotel, the folks here are very nice. The Valet was great, not sure his name but he was great. Although in the morning, we were going to get breakfast, but because they closed in 20 minutes that sounded like a problem. Not usually the kind of person that gets mad about that, and overall it wasn't bad but just not a good look for a classy place like this. I would stay here again.

The hotel sent me a text to pre-register, which I did and asked me scan in my driver lic and cc info. When I arrived at 1pm they only had 1 room. Front desk had given my other room away it took over an hour to resolve and it was not pleasant after a 5 hour drive. Restaurant and bar was closed and my family just wanted to go to bed. This was all planned well ahead this experience was u professional and handled inappropriately. Front desk actually asked the man they checked into my room to get out ?? Unbelievable

Stay was fine but a few delays.

Staff was very nice. Room was big and also clean. The room was not ready until 45 minutes after our check in time so we had to sit around in the lobby for a while. Also took over 40 minutes to get my car out of valet parking when we checked out.
