The Celeste is our favorite place to stay in St. Paul! Wonderful staff, beautiful accommodations, and spectacular holiday decorations! We also had a fantastic evening at the bar, enjoying some top-notch drinks and conversations. We'll be back....again!

Unique space, quirky but appealing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a bit limited but passable and the dining room was lovely. The small bar had limited offerings but was pleasant

Beautiful boutique experience

I had to get a room last minute and when this cute boutique hotel popped up I thought I would give it a try. I loved its history and the preservation of the original design. The beautiful and friendly bar area sealed the deal for me. I will stay here again!

great little boutique hotel with all the comforts of home
Chris, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Room was spare but comfortable, clean and very roomy; appropriate since it was a converted convent. Breakfast was good. The building is very nice and has kept most of the original features of the convent, which was a welcome change from the typical hotel experience. Close walking distance to restaurants, churches, and other features of downtown St. Paul.
Stephen, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

This hotel is super cute and was very comfortable. The only downside is we were on the ground floor and heard everything. The people walking upstairs, the laundry carts in the hallway, and the 5am garbage truck. Overall, would recommend this hotel, but maybe suggest a different floor.

Old Covent

The Celeste was an adorable boutique hotel with lots of character and charm. Once a convent the hotel is full of beautiful stained glass windows, religious artwork and antique furniture. Breakfast is included and the bar is open daily for food and cocktails. Our room and bath was comfortable.

Beautiful property. Great stay!

Beautiful property with so much history. Staff were all very welcoming and efficient. We had a great stay. Bed was very comfortable. Room was large and well decorated. Bathroom was large and very clean. Breakfast was delicious. Many options and very fresh. The bar is lovely and fun.

Loved the physical space and staff was wonderful. We enjoyed the cozy bar and had items from the bar menu as a light, yummy supper two evenings. Looking forward to staying there again.

6/10 Good

Beautiful, but pack a fan!

First I want to say that the hotel is beautiful, the service was incredible and the location was ideal for the event we were attending. The only complaint I have is it was (at times) unbelievably hot in our room. The only option on the air conditioning until was heat. We were able to crack a window a little bit which helped a tad, but it made getting a restful night of sleep challenging. Well worth the visit and I would absolutely stay here again, just maybe when there is snow on the ground!

Yes! The Celeste is a fantastic option for a weekend in the Twin Cities. We opted in for the romance package and it was such a fun addition to our time spent there. The stained glass and elaborate decor is really lovely and adds to the ambience. Very nice Employees and great options for breakfast.

A true delight in downtown St Paul

Wonderful interesting place. Looks like a convent ( which is why we chose it) but warm and inviting with amazing original details. SUPER comfortable bed. Convenient parking lot right next door ( additional expense). Totally recommend…we will return.,
Nadine, 2-night trip

Great Hotel!

I love the Celeste! Parking ramp next door is convenient. Easy to get in and out of this downtown location. Don't let the steps fool you - this is a pretty decently accessible hotel. Rooms are clean. Staff is always very friendly. Good breakfast in the chapel! I would plan to eat elsewhere or order in, but the drinks (and mocktails) are good. Food is good, just not a lot of it and sometimes they close at 7, sometimes 8. Cool bar area though!!
Erin, 2-night trip

Celeste of St Paul was one of my favorite stays in a long time. We were just there for one night, but it was memorable. The place is a renovated convent, and the decor is in theme, and very cute and sometimes funny. The building is lovely and stately, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
