This motel is fine if you need an affordable place to stay in the Pawleys Island area. I grew up in the area so I know it’s an older property but with a little investment and some upgrades it could be nice. The staff was very friendly and the pool area was nice.

When i arrived i was given my room but when I went to the room it only had 1 bed and i had reserved 2. I was given a replacement room and when i went to it there was already a family in it. After about 2 hours of going back and forth i was given a 3rd room and it was dirty; crumbs in the bed, stains on the sheets and pillow cases, and toiletries in the bathroom. Management finally agreed to a refund and i found a different hotel.

Upon entering our room, instead of putting our bags down first, we had to kill a bug in the room. We also noticed several other bugs that had been killed and their remains left smashed into the floor. The room had an unpleasant smell as well. The bed sheets were not that clean. They felt as though they had sand particles on them. We had to sleep mostly on top of the linens. We did not get a good nights rest on either of the nights we spent there. I was tempted to go and sleep in my car. The breakfast was horrible. No protein whatsoever. The front desk was neither polite or rude. I would say they were disengaged. Overall, my experience was horrible. I will never stay there again.

The hotel was sending guests to rooms that weren’t ready or were already occupied. When we arrived in our room one of the beds did not have a mattress and the other had no sheets. Generally disgusting and downtrodden.

The check in process was long. Rep could not log in and she was also going over rooms that were ready/not ready with housekeeping while we waited in line. It took almost 45 mins. Note when I wanted to check in 15 mins early,I was told it would be $25. I guess it’s ok for them to check me in late through for free.
