5* hotel without the 5* service
The complex is huge & plenty of facililties which make it the famous 5* hotel it is. The room was huge and clean. But everything feels like its trying to rip every penny out of you. The minibar cannot be used for your own drinks - and the menu states if suspected you've moved something (not used), you'll be billed. You even have to pay for the in room coffee/tea, which having travelled all over the US for 3 weeks, this was the only hotel that didnt provide free hot drinks in room - the irony of a 5* hotel not providing 5* service.
You have to pay a resort fee to use the pools etc on top of your hotel fee (why not build it into the hotel price) yet anyone (including drug addicts high as a kite) can enter the hotel/casino area which is trapped in a 70s "feel to smoke inside here" stench.
We did enjoy our stay here, but out of the 8 hotels we stayed at, all over the US, this we've stayed at better for less. Definitely ranks in our bottom 2/25%.
