The doors in our floor were heavy and slammed shut which was very loud. Our room was across from the laundry room and people were doing laundry and talking loudly past midnight making it difficult to sleep. The breakfast food was ok but there was not enough selection and the eggs were cold. In addition I got an email about having a dog and I did not bring a dog. The hotel lobby had a weird odor.

I was not in room much but iy was hard to get the water in shower to a good temperature. It either burn from being so hot or there was not pressure. The shower doow would not stay closed. I had to put a rag to hold it closed. Everything else wqs good and service was good.

The staff were nice but we were placed next to kids who were there for prom-they made a huge ruckus and were yelling and carrying on and slamming doors all night- I sent a message to the staff and it settled down, but they were back up an at it before 6am! We had been trying to rest up so we could drive and we slept terribly-it sounded like the doors were made of paper-also, the gym was not open.

The room looked very clean. There are no drawers in the room. There are 2 closets but only a total of 9 hangers. So there was no where to put the clothes. We did have a piece of furniture fall. I was trying to move it to get something i dropped and it fell. Luckily I moved my feet. It was nog screwed together. The knob to the closet came off as well. Now, it was a decent stay. Room clean. If I had to come back through, I would stay again. Clean but cheap lookong in the room. (We joked it was a temu room) for the price, it did what we needed it to do and was super clean. Breakfast was not good at all.

Bugs, not bang, for your buck$!

Usually we love staying at LaQuinta Inns, however this time it did not reach our expectations. Immediately upon entering the building, we were hit with the pungent odor of marijuana, however the smell was not in the room so we did not complain. The room was overall clean. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom and in the shower, but nothing crazy. While sitting at the desk working, and my partner in the lounge chair watching tv, we began to get itchy and eventually felt a few bites. We come prepared and sprayed the room with Lysol, since I’m allergic to quite a few things. Everything seemed to be fine afterwards. Again, we did not complain. We set our clothes for the following day on the desk and packed our remaining items away. The following morning, we prepared for doctor visits at UAB, we showered and began getting dressed. When picking up our clothes a bug scurried away but my partner was able to catch one. We did not get a picture but did turn it in while checking out. When explaining what happened, the lady looked at the crawling bug and asked was it a fly and asked if we had check the room when we first entered? She followed up saying she couldn’t do anything as far as a discount or compensation because we did not come down the night before. There was no proof of anything until we were getting ready to leave, so no, we didn’t come down the night before.
