Welcomed by a cockroach in bathroom.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I had basic expectations which they failed to deliver. The only reason I’m leaving anything good in this review is because the breakfast staff were very accommodating during breakfast time. The front desk representative at night was nice, but lacked training, he didn’t return my drivers license until I noticed I didn’t have it, never told us how to get to the room or verbally give us our room number. When we arrived to the room we were welcomed by a cockroach (picture attached), it was disgustingly gross. I was so exhausted I didn’t even bother letting them know that night (I mean, if you see one roach, they will most likely be everywhere else). I just wanted to sleep from my long day, when I approached the front desk the next morning, the so called manager was not pleasant, cold and unapologetic up until my wife declined his 15% discount for our next stay, which we will never ever use, because we will not be returning. All through the night a deeply disturbing nightlight in the bathroom shined as bright as the moon through the glass tinted door, we tried turning it off, disconnecting it but there was no way or option for it to be turned off. To add to the nightmare, there was this annoying flushing noise coming from the toilet bowl. The pillows were either cut in half cause it wasn’t even a toddler pillow, it was very small. Honestly the only good thing was the breakfast staff, and their attention to detail and care.

The stay was wonderful and the cleaning crew was excellent with my mother. Eloisa was very helpful to mom. I wish that all your workers are as loyal she she was with my mom. Thanks to her my mom had a wonderful time at our hotel. Can wait to come n visit again.

Great get away
Not my first or second time staying at this establishment,it’s affordable and it’s close to the Bronx ,Mt Vernon and it’s located in Yonkers .So it’s easy travel in any direction,but not in rush hour.(That’s NY)The breakfast is Deeeeeelicious. And theirs a bar and restaurant on premises.

Great stay!
The Royal Regency is a great economical place to stay...clean, comfortable. Friendly staff. Special kudos to Hector at the front desk...he went above and beyond in being helpful to provide additional coffee. There is a restaurant on the premises...good food, good prices...and kudos there to my server Andy...excellent, friendly service. Good included breakfast in the morning with two helpful ladies. Overall good experience! I will stay again!

Had much better experiences elsewhere
It didn't seem as though the front desk staff was very welcoming (maybe she was stressed after a long day). There was a nice wedding but the noise and rumbling went late into the night. No hand soap for the bathroom sink in the rooms. Parking: the parking situation needs to be explained better. Seems like the hotel and a restaurant that is attached to the hotel share the parking setting, in addition to an area for Hertz-specific vehicles. It was a bit confusing without someone there to explain how to proceed once in the parking setting. The breakfast crew was warmer and welcoming. Great omelets and breakfast selections. The eating area was clean and service was great. The made up for a below average arrival and sleep.

Shocked by Employee Response
There was an old white man with a beard that was very disrespectful and used profanity towards me. I went in the employee area to inquire if I could have my food heated in a microwave. He was very rude but there was an older shorter white lady who was nice and told me that there was a microwave on the second floor. I told the old white guy that he was rude and he used the F---- bomb to me. I returned the insult to him but was shocked by his response.
