I've stayed at this property many times over the past 20+ years. It has been renovated in recent years. The rooms are decent and modern, but they removed the pool leaving a large concrete slab with no real purpose. Also, I haven't seen the property elevator work in years.
The bathroom light is on a timer, so do yourself a favor and turn the bathroom light off and then back on again before you get in the shower so that the light timer restarts. Even then you may still have the light go off during your shower, leaving you in the dark - especially if your room is like mine with no window in the bathroom.
Other than that, the property is decent and has a decent location - not in the heart of tourist spots, but close enough if that's what you're in Hollywood for.
Gated parking also helps to keep unwelcome wanderers away, as the only way to walk onto the property is through the main lobby. The gate opens automatically, so anybody with a vehicle can drive in, but pedestrians must use the lobby unless the parking gate is stuck open. It was one evening that I was there - of the 4 nights that I stayed.
