4 days in Munich

Hotel good position to main station. Would not like to stay there on own as the area around the hotel is dirty, people sleeping, smoking and generally scary. The pillows were horrible purchasing good ones would be good. Breakfast was great. Staff friendly.

Beautiful hotel, great staff

This hotel was beautiful and well priced. It had a very nice Piano bar on the property. The staff were very helpful, and it was in walking distance to the train station, and to the hop-on-hop-off bus tour we took. I will say that the area around the hotel did make me nervous, but at the actual hotel, the security staff were on top of it. Just need to be in groups if walking at night.

Lovely large room with comfortable clean furnishings. Superb (if slightly expensive) breakfast. No kettle / coffee in rooms. Ideal location when arriving by train just minutes from the Hauptbahnhof through covered tunnel - sadly some undesirables frequent the area and not sure too safe at night.

We enjoyed our stay the hotel was beautiful. I am very close to the train station and also close to the city center. The surroundings at night were a little sketchy. Otherwise it was OK during the day. In general, beautiful place and worth every penny.

Clean but worn down hotel. The staff was nice and welcoming. The gym facilities were disappointing to say at least and also costed an extra fee, which I would have been happy to pay if the fitness room had a little more facilities other than e.g. one set of handweights and a single threadmill. The bathroom was weirdly designed and it took us several minutes to turn on and off the shower. Location is convenient if traveling by train but you can get more value for money at other hotels in this area.

it was very nice. we loved Jessica at the front check in point. Amazing.. for helping us find good food etc.. The people in the bar NOT friendly at all. The night of June 5 and 6th, bad. all i can say. It was a shame. they made us feel not welcome.

Great value, near the HBH

We planned to spend as much time as possible exploring Munich and surrounding areas during our trip, so we needed a hotel close to the HBH (Maritim is literally a couple of minutes from HBH entrance). We arrived a little before check-in time, but our rooms were ready, and we were allowed to check-in early - which we really appreciated. We were extremely satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms and comfort of the beds. On future trips to Munich we plan to stay at the Maritim.

The hotel itself is great, and very convenient to the train station, but the area around it was seedy. Once we were a few blocks over toward the old town area we felt much safer.
