The room was a little older but you definitely cannot beat that location. Shower was large with good water pressure. Tiles are older but everything was clean. We stayed in the secondary building past a gelato shop. It was everything you would expect from an Ocean Drive hotel. We could not hear any loud music at night as was mentioned in other reviews.

The staff was good, the keys for the room never worked had to go back to the front desk several times to get the cards re-programmed, there's no hot or warm water in the shower, the toilet kept making sounds of filing water.

I always stay at The Breakwater Hotel! Lily, Oscar and Martin are so friendly and make me feel like a VIP when I check in every time!! It is the best location in South Beach and great value for money. Quiet, clean, safe and located minutes away from all the nightlife not to mention the beach and boardwalk.

Art deco delight

It was an art deco delight. There's nothing extra about the decor, but I would call it well-appointed. It's all well designed and exactly what I needed it to be. The rainfall shower was a pleasant surprise. The staff were excellent to me. The way the buildings connect is a little quirky, but no big deal. Tiny pool but perfect for my needs. Only 3 working chairs were available. You can see the ocean through the trees. I would stay again!

I WOULDNT RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND!

The hotel was clean, but we arrived in our room with no towels, coffee, or bedding for the pull-out. We were given the towels and bedding, but we checked in on a Friday and they said they were out of coffee until Monday. What kind of hotel would not just go buy coffee pods in the interim for their guest, or provide it free in the lobby? Also, total misrepresentation if the pool deck area. There was literally one lounge chair there, and it was used!
