The hotel aesthetic is beautiful. The decor is natural and organic materials with a clean minimalist style. I was greeted by kind and professional staff who were very accommodating to any inquiries or concerns I had. Nice property, decent sized rooms. However, the property is one of those that nickels and dimes on everything: earlier check in, later checkout, toothbrush, toothpaste, lost key cards etc. The breakfast was mediocre at best. Room cleaning/house keeping services were subpar. The staff wasn’t as willing and friendly to help us as our 5 hotel experiences in Japan. Don’t recommend staying here.

HIGHLIGHT OF OUR STAY IN KYOTO
I booked this less than 48 hrs before based on reviews. The service and attention to detail was spectacular!! The hotel offered some of the best hospitality I have encountered in all my travels. We lived our room so much we extended for a 4th night. Highly recommend!!

Everything about our stay was excellent. The room was big and the staff went above and beyond. Only con is items like toothbrushes are an extra charge.
