It's not the newest facility, or the best location, but its understated sophistication, great view of the city, and convenient connection to the metro, make this a great hotel to stay in.

This hotel is incredible for size of rooms and service but it is very expensive compared to other options. The location on the metro line is hard to beat.

Our recent stay at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu was nothing short of exceptional. We stayed in the Club Premier King room, which was incredibly spacious and thoughtfully appointed with every amenity you could need. From check-in to check-out, the service was flawless—every touchpoint, from the concierge and bell captains to housekeeping and the Club Lounge team, was handled with care and professionalism. The Club Lounge deserves special mention. The team here is incredibly well-trained, with an impeccable attention to detail that elevated our experience. The food, drinks, and serene ambiance made it the perfect place to relax after a busy day in the city. A special thank you to Ms. Takahara, who went above and beyond to assist us with local recommendations. She not only provided great suggestions but also found all the details we needed to make our plans seamless. The hotel’s location is ideal—quiet yet central, with easy access to Tokyo’s attractions. Beyond the practicalities, the hotel celebrates Japanese culture in the most beautiful ways, from the breathtaking ikebana displays in the lobby to its water-inspired design that adds a sense of tranquility throughout. We’re already looking forward to returning and experiencing this exceptional hospitality again. Highly recommended!

Gem in Tokyo

Great hotel!
Super convenient location since the subway runs in the same building. Concierge was a little less helpful than I’m used to. Rooms were also smaller than expected but I’ve heard that’s just a Tokyo thing. Great view and the restaurant / breakfast was excellent! I really enjoyed staying in this area too since it’s a bit more quiet than what you normally get in Tokyo.

We stayed on a club floor and the service was impeccable. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The club lounge had great evening cocktail time with delicious small plates. Located above a metro station making it easy to get around. Most is all the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

I have been to this hotel more than ten times in the last 12 years or so. It remains my favorite by a wide margin. I’ve stayed in many 5-star hotels all over the world, but NONE of them can equal the Capitol Tokyu. For this stay, let me recognize the concierge team, especially Ms. Chihiro Hasegawa. Eight reservations were made for me, not counting a few attempts. Everything was done well, extremely well, with professionalism and kindness. Such a rare combination! But I don’t want to short change the other services as they are stellar too: Housekeeping, restaurant, reception, checkin, bell captains, everything perfect until I climbed into the taxi to leave the hotel. How can a long,12-day stay be so perfect!!
