Step back in time to this lovely 1880’s lake resort that was welcomed generations of families. With its cottages and inn offering many options. There are bits, canoes, kayaks to use as well as beach toys and floats. Outdoor games are plentiful and an entire room of pool, ping pong, hockey, etc. Lake Leelenau is a beautiful large inland lake perfect for swimming and boating. Paradise!!

The property is incredible. Beautiful location. Lovely beach. Interesting history. The staff were friendly and always available. Great location for families/reunions. It was awesome to use kayaks and have opportunity to learn rowing if you chose to. Great area. Close to tourist areas, restaurants, wineries. Sharing the baths in the lodge was a little odd. But it is clearly due to age of the facility which is unique. Poor water pressure in showers.

The staff were great and accommodated to our needs, the property was historic indeed and offered a trip back in time. The surrounding lake area was a bonus, what caught us by surprise is the public bathrooms, personally I am not used to it and wish I knew that rooms (not suites) did not have private bathrooms.

This resort is straight out of the Dirty Dancing movie. The quaint property is like a time capsule from an earlier era. Our third-floor room was clean, quiet, and relaxing. I enjoyed a nice afternoon lounging at the beach as families played in the water. The staff members were friendly and easily accommodated a last-minute change to our itinerary.
