8/10 Very good

Great hotel
Thomas, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Fun hotel

Fantastic breakfast, eclectic decor, and friendly staff. The walls are a bit thin due to the old building so you could hear guests talking next door sometimes but great that they had a lift and AC in the room. Centrally located and really pleased with this hotel!

Diane, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

A grand stay at the Grand

I’d seen some poor reviews so was very pleased to find these unfounded. Room clean and tidy; hotel decor good; staff friendly; choice at breakfast good.
Elaine, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Nice enough option in centre of Bristol

Nice bar, slightly run down, room was miles from the lift. Very good location for the price.

Great hotel with good location

A really nice hotel in the heart of Bristol. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice and tidy rooms with air conditioning. Beds are a tiny bit small for two people but for a short stay this didn’t bother us! If we’re coming back to Bristol for a weekend getaway we will definitely come back!
Ria, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Clean hotel, polite and friendly staff and lovely central location
2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely upgrade to a Privilege room, plus card and chocolates for our anniversary, which was a lovely touch. Great location in the centre of town, but not noisy. The building is a grand old lady, so does have some quirks, but overall we loved our stay here and would definitely stay again when visiting Bristol
Guy, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely period hotel grand building Upgraded to a superior room only because we didn’t have a view but no other reason, staff were very professional and polite
Paula, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Very avarage hotel. Poor breakfast
Malgorzata, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good location for sight seeing.

Good location for the city and plenty of things to see and do. Parking on site to an extra fee of £18 per night. Room clean and enough space, but nothing special. Soap and shampoo available. Bar next door busy and they ran out some items. Noise and drunkenness from outside, could not be heard from inside room. Nice view from window and air conditioning was needed!

6/10 Good

Receptionist and check in very helpful, good service. When we managed to get to sleep due to noisy neighbours found the mattress uncomfortable very worn could do with replacing. No complimentary water in the room which was a surprise considering the price.
Nicola, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Generally I work in the hotel room during my stay. Unfortunately there was no desk in the room. I had to work with computer on the bed. I stayed here once before and had to rearrange the furniture to use a bedside table to work on. Not ideal

Great for short city break

Overnight stay for city break with child. Had a twin room that was comfortable and cleanly. Very pleased with check in and out process and quality of breakfast. Great central location.

Grand???

Nothing special as a hotel, decent friendly staff TBF & an excellent location. We stay in Bristol quite regularly & there are far better options for similar money.
Neil, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Avoid- stay at Premier Inn instead

Hotel is run down and poorly maintained. It is insanely hot in all common areas and corridors. The rooms are hot too but do have air conditioning. (It was not especially hot outside at the time of our stay). The building is in a poor state, with odd smells and leaks noticeable. Staff were not very helpful.
Jonathan, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great stay, on a vibrant high street leading into central Porto, probably a ten minute walk to the main attractions and old town. Beautiful room and restaurant area. Staff very friendly and kept our room perfect every day, would stay again
J, 1-night trip

Christine, 3-night trip

Will come back again

Great hotel, perfect location clean and tidy, staff really helpful and friendly
Emma, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

The AC in our room was broken and we were not informed of this until we got to our room. Once we realised this, we returned to the front desk and were informed we could switch rooms, but it would not be the same standard as the room we had booked and there was no guarantee the AC would work in another room. It gave the impression the staff weren’t all that interested. The compensation we received (£20 refund and 2 complimentary drinks) didn’t feel adequate.
Kirsty, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Booked 2 rooms of which my confirmation details still show but was told by reception that *I* had cancelled 1 of them. Turned out i had booked 2 rooms when there was actually only 1 left. Two and a half hours wasted sorting it out. Daughter's birthday ruined.
