A Walk to Neuschwanstein (45 minutes) & Hochswangau (30 minutes) castles is beautiful. Buy tickets to do both. Very nice breakfast buffet. Hotel staff is lovely. Spa is either severely understaffed or not staffed at all.

Stunning relaxing spa property with easy access to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. Gorgeous room, sauna and pool access in the spa was incredible perk and the daily breakfast was spectacular. Easy in and out parking, helpful staff. First time there. Will be back! A definite recommend if you are in the area to see the castles. Staff is very helpful and most speak English quite well. Each building is its own look, feel and room type. There are elevators but expect some walking and there are hills. Not like the hill to the castle (take the bus or horse carriage). Try it. Make your own opinion. I loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Ameron. The room, hospitality of staff, spa (Stefani for massage and the whole sauna area), breakfast (especially the omelette chef-best omelette ever), and location with proximity to the lake and historic castles. We highly recommend this resort and look forward to visiting other Ameron resorts in the future.

Absolutely wonderful! Location is perfect for exploring the area.central and easy to pop in and out during the day. Staff is wonderful, The room in alpenrose was cozy, lovely, clean and had large windows that open to magnificent view of the lake-it’s peaceful and quiet on the 3rd floor. The breakfast is outstanding with a huge variety of delicious options. The Lisl restaurant is so lovely, the food was average. Overall amazing experience- would definitely love to come back again.

Excellent location. The halbpension was great value. Wonderful breakfast and Andre(?) , the food director, did an outstanding job at dinner. The spa is also a nice treat after a day of touring the castles. The place is huge and any kind of service is difficult to come by. Also our room in the Alpenrose section had a very strange layout…half the space was taken up by a large bathtub.

Our second time staying here, another great trip. The food is wonderful and the staff are all very friendly and professional. We enjoyed our time talking with the Ludwig bar staff. Sandro, Haze, and Kevin were great and made amazing well balanced cocktails. Thank you all again!

I understand that the hotel is built in a historical structure, so there was no AC. During winter time, it should be okay, but the summer time, they Expedia website should notice no AC. Then I won’t choose that room.
