"The Dwarika is an oasis. The spa and gym facilities are out of this world. It is a living cultural museum with wood carvings and art and traditional but fancy local cuisine.
It was exactly what I needed after the Everest Marathon, a place to detox and recover. Even the air is better and sweeter in the hotel. It isn’t near Thamel but that is why it is peaceful. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. It isn’t the luxury, it is the support of Nepali and Newari traditions that put it over the top.
PS The basil lemonade is addictive
PPS The lady who manages the treatment center is a fourth generation healer and she has an incredible nasya recipe for your sinuses and lungs
PPS Try a game of Tigers and Goats"
"The front desk staff were absolutely fantastic — very efficient, professional, and friendly. I was extremely happy with their service.
The breakfast was also excellent. There was a wide variety of food, and the chefs, serving staff, and supervisors all provided outstanding service. The coffee was among the best I’ve had in Kathmandu, and the latte service was impressively quick. I’m leaving with wonderful memories of my stay at the Hilton.
"
"This hotel is one of the better hotels I have stayed at in Kathmandu. Only main issue was the roads accessing the hotel are very narrow and some taxis had a hard accessing the hotel. "
"This hotel felt like a little home away from home. The staff make it a point to make you feel comfortable and happy. Even though the bathroom had some leaks and the bed wasn’t the greatest, I will stay here again. It is very convenient because you are close to Thamel without being in the hectic area. I walked everywhere and did not need a car unless to go to the temples. Other than that I loved the food options nearby specially the Massala Beads cafe this is a must try and it’s only 5 mins away walking. "
"The restaurant gets no special mentions which is weird because it's great. Great value hotel with rooms nicer than I'm used to on the edge of Thamel."
"The Milestone has a friendly team of staff and is well managed. The restaurant has multiple options of breakfasts available and the rooms have really good a/c which is a huge relief during hot days. Multiple staff at the front desk are knowledgable on all the best spots in the area and will be able to guide you on pretty much anything you will need! Awesome stay guys, won't forget it! Truely appriciate the hospitality."
"Brand new hotel in Tinchuli near Boudhanath, very modern facility, great rooms with diverse layouts nicely accomodating both groups and solo travelers. Wonderful local neighborhood to explore and enjoy the activity around Boudha stupa. Hotel Sherpani is same quality as the big 4 star brand hotels I've stayed in ktm, but with more local culture. Hotel Sherpani rates are a great value in comparison as well. Love the top floor restaurant/terrace/chill area, my favorite view in ktm. Highly recommend."
"I had a wonderful stay at the Kailash Boutique Hotel! The rooms and amenities are very comfortable. The hotel looks like it’s been recently renovated. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant offers excellent food. I highly recommend it."
"The team members were the highlight. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay a good one.
The property itself is well situated to many of the key sights, are clean and sized well. "
"the hotel staff were very friendly and kind. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing! The food tasty and inexpensive overall. Unfortunately, some of the clerks in the shops in the lobby took a hard-sell approach to customers."
"The Everest Hotel staff made me feel incredibly welcome and cared for throughout my stay.. Everyone is super helpful and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are great and it was particularly lovely to you have a comfortable bed and a hot shower after trekking.
I also loved the gym, pool and restaurant and the food was wonderful. There are many choices for different nationality foods on the menu. I loved everything I tried
There is also a spa so I booked a massage on my last day. I hope to return to this hotel next year!"
