"Centrally located on the historic Beestenmarkt Square, our comfortable airconditioned room was a quiet and welcome retreat during the June heatwave. Enjoyed breakfast at Koophandel and our dinners a few steps away at Café` Brasserie Monastère and Plein 11."

"Cute, clean hotel. Quiet neighborhood. Very friendly and helpful staff. We rented bikes one day and had a wonderful ride.
The only thing we would change is the shower pressure, which was not as much as we are used to."

"Very characterful hotel close to the old market square and old Delft town. So near lots of restaurants, bars and cafes. But also close to a large parking area on the edge of the old town so avoiding tricky trips round the tiny canal streets."

"Nice 3star hotel in downtown Delft. From my room there was a nice view on the old channel. Very close to everything. The rent bikes even if we don't. Quality breakfast. It is missing an afterhour service. Room was clean

"The room was small and a bit dated. There was no air conditioning, only a fan, so it wasn’t very comfortable to sleep. It’s okay for a one-night stay. On the plus side, there was a microwave, and the staff were friendly."

"The staff are so warm and accommodating, friendly too.
The venue is just right for my family's need of a suite. Nearby shops, near the transit, quiet night for resting, far from the crowded areas."

I really liked Delft - pretty canals and bridges, good atmosphere, small. It's famous for its pottery, and is also the birthplace of Vermeer, whose life and works are celebrated in the Vermeer Centrum

The Netherlands overall are remarkably litter free but there were areas in the old part of Delft where there was litter - generally around the fast food outlets. That is a shame.

Delft is always great out of season. Not only beautiful in itself, it's a great base for visiting the Randstad generally (hotel is next to station). Tram direct to Den Haag & Scheveningen. Quick trains to Rotterdam & Leiden, even Amsterdam & Utrecht.
"This place is beautiful! Great location near two tram stations. Lots of food options and things to see. The front staff were so helpful and friendly! Room was comfy and clean! They were so accommodating when we needed anything for our room or an early check in. Loved how eco friendly they were too! We would absolutely stay here again! "
"Again one of my better choices, and thrilled to have had the opportunity to stay here. Location was prime, and walkable/bikeable to everywhere I wanted to go. The area was busy, however not chaotic. The restaurant on site had wonderful and artsy/interesting choices for both food & beverage. I though the pricing was a little steep, but the portions were also more than I had expected. The overall design of the rooms and general property was eye catching and energizing, without compromising ease and comfort. Suitable for solo travelers, business travelers, and families. The staff I met were all kind and helpful, offering a high level of service standard."
"The hotel was very good clean tidy plus the staff were very helpful, our room came with a bath with a shower in which Alison couldn't get in very easy so they moved us to a different room with a walk in shower, nothing seemed to much a problem.
I am gluten and dairy intolerant so when we went for breakfast they had a lot of items i could have, we both enjoyed our breakfast it was very very good "
"Spent more than I normally would to upgrade to an Executive Room and definitely didn’t regret it. There was a massive amount of space and it was great to have a bath as well as a shower. Also really helpful to have a UK socket as well as a USB (I’d seen other reviews saying there were only European sockets - there were plenty of those too!)
The highlight of the room was definitely the stunning view over Rotterdam. It was great to just sit and watch as the city woke up. The hotel is also very convenient and is right next to the metro line going to the beach at Hoek van Holland. Short walk to central station.
Also really liked the option of self service check in and out. "
"We stayed at The James for 5 nights and it was fantastic. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, we stayed in a family room which was very spacious. The little market area for drinks, snacks and breakfast was very convenient.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly and the whole family really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return!"
"Beautiful hotel, great location on the beach. The pool is only inside- but the sea is right there. Tons of restaurants and a board walk. A lot of things for young kids. If you prefer pools this is not your place, it is inside and small, but beautiful
Hotel (we really liked it and would recommend to a friend)"
"Hotel was very clean, modern and staff were very friendly. There is a very fancy restaurant on site as well but we did not eat there. Surrounding area seemed industrial but was a quick trip to the center of Delft for restaurants and shopping."
