All the snorkelling tours from cancun come to puerto Morelos. This just goes to show how wonderful the water and beaches are. The water is calmer here because of the reef break. Better for families and small children than cancun is. Safer waters.

The quiet fishing village is morphing into a vibrant tourist destination with lots of restaurants, hotels, and rentals of all sorts. Near the end of the high season there was no place to park, sidewalks were crowded, and the beach was busy.

The town of Puerto Morelos is worth a visit while it lasts. Lots of development happening on the port side. It will be just another Cancun or Playa in a few years.

The area is a cute little fishing village that is quaint but has grown over the years with more and more tourism and has become more crowded. Mexico and general has also become more expensive shockingly. Prices were on par or more expensive than US.

Puerto Morelos is low key so if that's what you're after then it's perfect. The people are very nice, many great restaurants and also very safe. The Ki Restaurant next to the hotel has the best tacos ever. It's not Cancún but on a good way.

"We had a blast at Royalton Splash Rivera Cancun!!! We are actually on the plane right now going back home and already miss this amazing resort and the whole team, including restaurant and buffet workers, waiters especially Beatriz, she was great and the service was fast and excellent. Beatriz is very friendly and kind and we really appreciate her for everything!! Special thanks to Omar from the Vibe team!! Omar was wonderful, so much fun to be around. My daughter enjoyed playing beach volleyball with Omar and we did the dance class in the pool with Omar. He is such an amazing dancer!! Keep up the great work that you do to entertain everyone! Kudos to the entire Vibe team!!! We spent 7 days with my family and everyone had such a great time, the night time shows are top notch, fabulous experience!! The resort is beautiful, well maintained and organized. Our room was perfect, couldn't ask for anything more. Food was delicious, so many choices, we really enjoyed the food at the Gourmet Marche, Rio, the Cave and Zen Tepanyaki. I don't remember all names of wonderful staff and chefs. We really enjoyed the pools and the beach. There was always something fun to do like fitness class, foam party, music trivia. We really enjoyed our stay at Royalton Splash!! And the song is super catchy, my both daughters know the lyrics already!! Thank you for awesome vacation!!!"

"The resort was beautiful! Its about a 20 minute ride from the Cancun airport which isnt bad but its secluded! So if your looking be near clubs i wouldnt recommend! The rooms are amazing showers in the middle of the room and jacuzzi tubs on the balconys!

They also offer swim out rooms! The hibachi restaurant was the best, but thats the only restaurant you have to make reservations for! All in all definitely a 10/10 stay! And you have access to the breathless resort as well so 3 different pool options with swim up bars and a dj!"
"If you are looking for a quiet, smaller, more intimate all inclusive vacation this resort is for you. Great food, clean property, very attentive staff. Tips are expected. You will get a cheque with the zero balance at the end of each meal with a tip option. Smart way to encourage tips.

Charley Boy, the bartender on the beach was so attentive and always knew just what to bring us. There were so many others that made our experience awesome. There was always something to do during the day and entertainment at night. No reason for anyone to be bored here. We can’t wait to start planning our next trip here. "
