"Room was spacious, clean, modern and had windows to the fjord. Lovely views from the room! Breakfast was good (especially porridge) and hotel offered complimentary coffee and tea. You need to have own rental car to get to Akureyri where the nearest services are. I would definitely stay in Hotel Natur again."

"It’s okay hotel but looking at the price (Iceland is generally costly anyway), I would hesitate to stay here again as the bathroom wash basin sink was smelly; there was no restaurant in site for the dinner available; was told that the restaurant opens for the dinner only for a travel group and if there is none, then the restaurant is closed which makes inconvenient for the family as this hotel is away from the main city centre area; fine if you have your own car. "Hotel conveniently located in Mývatn Lake District. Staff are friendly and helpful. I found the hotel cleanliness poor - rooms and overall hotel was worn out and needed fresh paint and flooring. I expected more for the price paid on the accommodations "

"The room was fine but we were looking forward to the hot tub after a long day. One hot tub was murky and the second wasn’t filled all the way. Stairs were slippery and I fell resulting in significant bruising "

"El apartamento es cómodo, bonito, amplio, con todas las comodidades y parqueadero. Durante mi estadía se dañó el secador y me lo cambiaron oportunamente, muchas gracias!
En una de la noches del fin de semana me llamó la atención que me desperté porque unos jóvenes estaban haciendo trompos con los carros, fueron 5 minutos, sin embargo me llamó la atención."

"Loved this property - beautiful apartment with a full kitchen and bathroom and comfortable sleeping arrangements for 4 people (1 queen bed, 1 pull out sofa bed). Great condition, close to city center, groceries, major sites of Akureyri. Communication with host was excellent. Property is quite accessible and easy to get to major attractions like botanical gardens, Akureyri church, and the magnificent Godafoss."

Stunning place. Airport was in walking distance of the town centre and I have to say was the most relaxed airport I have ever used. Breathtaking views. I will visit again soon. Thanks Akureyri for a fantastic stay.

Lots of outdoors activity , town not as busy and ready for tourists as Reykjavik but we liked that. Great bars and the forest lagoon is a must. We hired a car and think if hadn't could have been a little restricted- would recommend a visit to anyone

Walk everywhere, take a trip to see Goíafos, be aware restaurants are expensive, eat Skyr, and the bakery down the road does delicious pastries. The coffee shop/bookstore on the corner is nice to sit and read for a while.

Very pretty mountain. It was snowing when we arrived and many places were decorated with lights. Godafoss waterfall is about 30 minutes away and worth a visit as well.

"I stayed at the hotel for a few days after being released from the hospital after surgery on a broken ankle. I stayed while waiting for my travel insurance to arrange transportation back home in the United States. The staff were all so nice and helpful since it was not easy for me to get around. Someone was always willing to help me fix a plate at breakfast since I was using a walker and could not carry anything. And they did it with a smile!"
"Their is a common fridge that is very well appreciated where you may leave your unused food and condiment, peanut butter, beer, jelly, butter was found. It was very helpful and eco friendly, we were able to complete our dinner and breakfast. Place is clean and quiet with a good view over the mountains and city. "
"The rooms are converted student accommodations. Spacious with personal bathrooms. Convenient location from main downtown area and close to Botanical Gardens.
Adequate electrical outlets for electronic devices. No TV. Hair dryer available from reception. Friendly accommodating staff. Lots of parking. "
"Super cute and unique place to stay. The views from this place are worth it! I did have to open the windows at night as the air circulation upstairs in the loft is a bit hot but once all windows were open, we were fine. A great place to stay for the night with amazing views! "
"Eclectic hotel with a hostel feel…breakfast was bountiful and delicious…family suite was spacious and funky. Parking was easy and very convenient to downtown and airport."
"Lovely place right in the downtown area. Had everything we needed for our stay. Kids loved the loft and getting to climb the latter just be cautious as it is steep!! Great place we enjoyed! "
"After a long, exhausting drive from the East, my family & I arrived in Akureyri around 1:00 am. We were completely exhausted after driving from the South & just ready to get some rest. However, our check-in hit a small bump -- we were given the wrong code to our apartment & couldn’t get in. Thankfully, when I called the staff, he responded quickly & provided a new code. He was incredibly helpful & made the process smooth despite the late hour. The apartment itself was clean, cozy, & very comfortable -- too bad we only had one night to enjoy it! After settling in, my husband & I decided to head out for a quick drink. We found a nearby bar & enjoyed a refreshing local IPA beer. It was almost 3:00 am & we felt safe walking around the area. The locals were warm & welcoming, & it was the perfect way to unwind after such a long day."
"The place was clean and newly renovated. Spacious for a family of 4. Nice, well stacked kitchen. Amazing views from the terrace. Very quiet. The hot tub was fun and a great way to relax after a day. We really enjoyed our stay!"
"Thora & Ivar are very welcoming. They have a lovely home, very modern and well maintained. Very clean. Easy 10 min drive into town. Highly recommend. "
"This was a real treat and was like a mini vacation within our vacation. The location (quiet solitude, views, surrounded by the horses), all the comforts of home (to sit on a real couch again even lol) and being able to make our own meals and enjoy a private evening in the hot tub were just what I needed."
"My boyfriend and I booked this place last minute. Price and location were both good. We were a little concerned when we saw multiple negative reviews. However, our stay was wonderful! The room was clean, some noise from other rooms were noted but nothing after around 2100. We had a direct view into the city center which was great for people watching. Would recommend this place for anyone looking in the area. "
