"We loved the staff at this hotel and the family room. Beds were very comfortable and the room was perfect.
Only drawback here is that the wifi is bad - you definitely need to purchase the plan to have usable wifi.
Everything else though; FIRST RATE."

"Staff was very friendly and accomodating, which is the most important point for me. Bonus points for the gym. There is a kitchen available to make meals and watch TV. I liked the location as well - calm, quiet and with public transport nearby. "

"very clean, very secure, good gym and electric car charging facilities. Guests should be made aware that it is "student residence accommodation" and as such is geared to service the student body as opposed to guests."

"The hotel is lovely, very welcoming and great service from all the staff. The weather was particularly warm whilst we were there, and the window only opens to a tilt, so the room was incredibly hot. We had to close the window on the 2nd night due to noise outside at midnight. Apart from the heat, the hotel was perfect."

"This was a great location with large comfortable rooms and fabulous views. Service was excellent and the restaurant was also very good.
We were worried that the arrival of a cruise ship in front of the hotel in the morning would be noisy and disturbing, but it wasn’t an issue. "

"A nice basic hotel for your stay in Cork. Next to the train station, which is great. Walkable to many cafés. Very friendly staff as well!"

"No remote for TV, shared bathroom spaces were super small and cramped. Check out process not clear. The whole house was skewed and at an angle. No mirror in room. Downstairs kitchen was really poor condition, not pictured in listing photos. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially when check in process wasn’t too clear. Location was central, but it made the rooms very loud when the windows were open. No fans or air conditioning "

If you want to eat in cork on the weekend , be sure to get reservations. Many of the restaurants were booked. We couldn't get a table for 2 until 8:30 and it was so busy we didn't eat until 9:30. Lots of bars were very lively and busy too.

Cork is rather small, but with big city conveniences and sadly problems. The walk down to the centre was a bit sketchy and no taxis were available. There are cheap eateries during the day aimed at nearby uni students.

The people of Cork were wonderfully welcoming. A gentleman named Henry saw us looking at our map for a vegan place (which was one of the only ones in Cork) and walked us a mile out of his way so that we would be able to find it.

Cork is clearly a city full of history with lots to explore, however I found that there is a general lack of care of their city by the residents. From trash all over the streets (especially cigarette butts) to a general sense of worn-down buildings.
"Very nice little old school hotel, I’d go back!
It was just off the tourist district, yet still super close. What was great is there was a pub across the street where locals went, not as many tourists.

"When we walked into the doors, we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who took our luggage while we checked in. I had the most amazing drink in the glass house in the vibes were just perfect."
"The hotel was absolutely beautiful, the room was comfortable and had a shower AND a tub, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the hotel bar makes exceptional cocktails! Sitting on the patio and looking at the river with a cocktail was a perfect evening!"
"Nice and new hotel on the river with parking being validated . Good shower pressure. Comfy bed . We had the family room with an extra bed which was convenient. We got a good deal for breakfast buffet which was excellent."
"Place was clean and comfortable and very conveniently located near to the bus stop we needed to get to our end destination.
Staff were super friendly and helpful.
Being 6ft5 the bed was a little small for me but was fine for a short stopover"
"Central location with a great restaurant. I wish I could have stayed longer to take advantage of the amenities. The only thing was that the WiFi was weak and unstable but I would still stay again. "
"Moxy Cork is in an ideal location. The hotel staff were superb! They went above and beyond with their service. We had forgotten to bring our US adapter to attach to our charging cables and they reached into a box and loaned us an adapter (that had been left behind from previous guests.) They allowed us to put medication and cheese in a refrigerator. And several staff members gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants and bars that featured Irish music. We will definitely stay at Moxy Cork again! "
"My wife & I stay as part of our 20th anniversary trip. Staff, food, comfort, everything was great. The only thing I would change is adding air conditioning to the hotel as a whole. But opening windows & adding a second fan definitely helped."
"My family and I enjoyed this hotel during our visit to Cork! Our favorite hotel of our entire trip to Ireland. Great staff, great rooms, and in the middle of everything you need!"
