"LOVED it. If you are looking for a quiet place to just relax on the beach-this is your hotel. Staff greeted us with orange juice and they handled all our baggage from the moment we got off the boat. They also have free boat rides for day of arrival and departure. My husband and I didn't want to be by all the touristy parts so this was perfect. It felt isolated and quiet and I absolutely loved having private beach as my front yard. You can go kayaking, hiking (although this hike was definitely an UPHILL challenge which they do warn you about and it needs to be updated), and my favorite activity-snorkeling. There is a plethora of fish in the water and so many colors and sizes. It was a magical experience to swim with them every day. Room was cleaned everyday and the food at the hotel restaurant was delicious. Breakfast was included and they were very generous with serving sizes. I loved how we were able to do all the touristy things on this island without having to be around so many people. Will absolutely be back!"

"Very nice hotel, well maintained and nice beachfront. We had 2 adjacent rooms, family room with plunge pool. The room were clean and nice. Only issue was the inconsistencies of the water pressure in the room shower, some morning barely any water was coning out when the room next door was also using the shower and the water was having difficulty to drain. But except for that we enjoy our time there. The rooms with 1 king bed and 2 single bed was perfect for our family so every one had their own bed. We also like the included breakfast near the beach. It was low season so the price was very good but I thing at full high season price I will have find it to expensive."

"We had an amazing time - overall excellent experience. We came to Layana Resort to relax and relax we did. The hotel staff was really friendly and attentious, the grounds were beautiful, the vibe was quiet and relaxed. The spa was a real treat and we enjoyed the time we spent there getting massages and mani/pedicures. The restaurant was great (especially the Thai dishes and special menus) and we had all our meals there for most of our stay. Eating by the sea never gets old :) Sunsets were beautiful, and while the sea was not safe for swimming for half of our time there (very strong tides), the pool by the beach more than made up for it. "

"The best stay we’ve had on our trip! The room was cozy and beachy. The pool was pretty quiet and on the beach it was great! We loved spending all day by the pool and by the swim up bar. Overall excellent experience and would highly recommend staying here. Location was amazing as well! "

"We stayed at Avani+ Koh Lanta for 3 nights in a pool villa and overall had a wonderful time. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for unwinding. Our private pool villa was clean, spacious, and very comfortable — just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A special mention to the buggy service, which was super quick every time we called — rarely had to wait more than a couple of minutes. The pool bar was great, and the happy hour from 5–6 PM was a nice touch. That said, when it gets busy, it can be a little hard to get your drinks in time before happy hour ends. We also found the pool bar closed quite early in the evening — not sure if that’s just during low season or standard for the resort. Food at the resort was good, though a bit on the expensive side — which is expected for a resort. In our opinion, the menu could benefit from a bit more variety, especially since there’s only one restaurant and the location is quite secluded from other dining options. Despite these small points, we really enjoyed our time here. The peaceful setting, friendly service, and overall vibe made it a memorable stay. We’d happily come back again! "

"Great location with many bars and restaurants nearby. The ferry pier and the beach were easily walkable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely and there were at least 20 sun loungers to use. Breakfast was ok. The bed was very firm, it would not be to everyone's liking."

"Do not stay here, the place is unfinished and the staff whilst helpful are untrained. The ‘beach’ is a strip of sand behind concrete blocks. The sea and surrounding areas are very dirty and lots of rubbish. At one end there is tones of rubbish piled up, the other end there is a huge rusty barge that has pumps and welders on all day. The resort is on a very steep hillside and the only way to get up to room is by buggy which never arrives when you order it. Ordered beers in both the pool bar and restaurant but both were warm so had to get a bucket of ice to put the expensive can into. Food at pool bar was bad - we complained but they still made us pay for it. Pool is boiling- like getting in to a bath, there are a few sun beds but no umbrellas so no shade! The breakfast is ok but mostly cold -although the ‘Head Chef) is fussing around front of house and not in the kitchen where he should be. Room was good with great view ( as we were so high up the hill). "
