"Our stay at the Garden South Park Inn was excellent, due largely to the wonderful customer service! Every staff member was incredibly kind and helpful with wonderful recommendations and friendly conversation. The room was absolutely beautiful and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We found the location to be excellent as well. We took an Uber to the waterfront for under $10 CAD and also walked to Stillwell Beer Garden one evening. Breakfast was described as continental but I’d say it was more like ’continental plus’ because, beyond lovely muffins, bagels, toast, and cereals, they offered hard boiled eggs, deli meats, cheese and crackers, yogurt and fruit. The coffee was also delicious. One note is that parking is an extra charge and not guaranteed, so one night we parked on the street for under $10 CAD and the second night we parked in the lot for $15 CAD. (Yes, this was more but we didn’t have to be concerned about adding more money to the app or moving the car at a certain time.) Overall, an excellent stay in Halifax at the Garden South Park Inn! We would definitely recommend it."
"Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was cheery and helpful. Restaurant attached was good and convenient. Stayed for 6 nights and do not have even 1 complaint"
"Close to great restaurants & walking distance to Harbourfront. Good location. Easy self check-in, parking around the corner. Room was amazing! Very clean with all amenities. Bed was comfy. "
"Check-in was a breeze. 24-hours before checking in I asked for an adjoining room and at check in they had fulfilled the request. The rooms were tidy and spacious. There was a cleanly smell in both rooms. We did not have enough towels and it was easy to get extra from the front desk. The free breakfast was great. There was a variety of options for cold and hot items. The dining room could have used a few more tables however because closer to 10am the dining room gets really busy. "
"Hotel is in a good location but needs a renovation. The rooms are dated. Door latch kept sticking and would take multiple attempts to open. Roof top patio is covered in bird poop. A fire alarm went off one night and the night staff was not helpful. He didn’t keep his composure or communicate with guests."
"Great value to be downtown Halifax. Rooms are clean and shared facilities are good. Keep in mind that rooms will lack things like irons, hair dryers etc… towels and extra sheets are available."
"excellent vibe. friendly staff. felt very safe traveling alone to a place i'd never been before. food and drink options were abundant. groovy decor. 10 out of 10."

"Well maintained property and good location for Halifax and Dartmouth. Front desk had lots of change for the washer/dryer. Nice variety of breakfast items. Kids really enjoyed the warm pool and waterslide too!"
"Great location! Close to everything. Friendly staff. Lovely room! Our only complaint was that the pool was incredibly hot—too hot to swim in. Otherwise a perfect stay!"
"We like everything about the Haliburton. The staff were wonderful and helpful, the hotel is beautiful and clean. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom had everything we needed and was clean. The area around the Haliburton had everything we wanted, dinning, shopping and we were downtown and very close to the waterfront. We would stay there again."
"It was a quick overnight stop.. I thought I was within walking distance of the downtown area, but we had to take a Uber... it was very quiet but no elevator and we had to carry everything up 2 flights of stairs.. the room was very clean and comfortable. "
"Very comfortable and affordable room. Laundry facilities with free access for guests. They even provide laundry detergent! Easy parking access, peaceful grounds."
"comfortable bed, quiet, spacious room, walkable to shopping and restaurants, various live bands, busy waterfront due to August long weekend holiday, enjoyed wine and chicuterie board sunset sail"
