Loved Central Market! We made quite a few purchases and everything was delicious...pretzels, scones, cheese, wrap, empanada, chocolates, caramels, etc. Staff at Swedish Candy Shop and Torres Family Bakery were SO pleasant and helpful.

We have visited Lancaster many times for shows and shopping. We enjoy our visits and our only lament is the loss of many of the Amish restaurants. The Bird-In-Hand market has remained true to its' roots, and we love it.

The outskirts of Lancaster were very pretty - lots of Farmland dominated by members of the Amish community. There are markets, activities for families, and theaters. We found several good buffets. Very enjoyable!

"We stayed one night in August 2025. Everything was excellent. Would most definitely stay again! Breakfast was very good, hot and cold food! Room was very clean. Excellent all around!"
"Enjoyed our stay at the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn. We enjoyed the in house theater production, the pool was very enjoyable, beds were comfortable and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. Hope they get the restaurant back up and running. They had a fire in the kitchen last year and it still is not opened. I did not see anyone working on it. In previous stays, the restaurant was top notch. Hope they get it back on line soon. Miss it. Also, take the daily tour of Amish farmland and businesses. It takes a couple of hours and is very informative. "
"We’ve stayed here many times before it changed owners. If the name hadn’t changed, we wouldn’t have known the difference. Great place. Very clean. Dog friendly. Great food. Great price. "
"My family and I fully enjoyed our time in Townplace Suites. It was clean, convenient, good morning breakfast buffet options, pool, gym etc. our favorite part of this hotel was the bbq area! We came for a basketball tournament so to have this really saved us money on food and quality time to get to know other families. All in all a great time. Thank you again for having us and being so hospitable. "
"We liked our stay very much. We were not expecting such a beautiful suite!
Was not crazy about the pool. It was small and there was no just adult times. When my husband and I wanted to swim it was just too crowded. But swimming was not why we came so it certainly did not effect negatively our stay."
"My stay was excellent. Front desk staff were really nice and welcoming. The room was a great size, enough for my autistic 6yr old to zoom around the room. Excellent parking, will stay here again. "
"Great stay for our girls trip! Easily walkable to local restaurants and bars around downtown. Parking on site was a breeze! Would definitely recommend! "
"First, there is plenty of parking and the lobby is spotless. The front desk man was an absolute delight. Full of sweet stories and travel recommendations. He was very considerate of other guests when assigning our room, and made some great suggestions for future travel. Then we got in the elevator to head up to our room and saw a hand written note with some potential breakfast spots! When we got to our room, it was beautiful. Clean and well appointed. Plenty of space.lots of towels available, hangers for our clothes, even an actual armchair. It was a kitchy vacationers dream. Like an ideal little inn room that you picture when fantasizing about vacationing. I am so glad we chose this place! Will definitely stay here again!"
