"The sign out front says this was the number one Independent hotel. I didn’t go to other hotels so I have nothing to compare it too. However, I think they would definitely be in the running. It was very clean. It was reasonably priced. And it had great family attractions, such as a pool with slides, a hot tub, picnic area, and a swingset. I would definitely stay here again.
This was very close to Cedar Point, beds were comfortable, and hotel was clean.
If this hotel could improve anything would be to make shower heads higher and add a few cereals and bread choices (like English muffins) to continental breakfast. Breakfast had limited variety.
Overall. I recommend this hotel.

"The coffee is amazing, it's part of the reason we went back. The view from the deck by the lake and the pool is beautiful. The shower in our room drained so slow as did the bathroom sink.
Things to know-
They are listed as cash accepted on the listing but they do not accept cash on premises.
There is also a $100 refundable incidental fee that was not included in what we paid last year.
Overall we like the place but there are some things that could be fixed and updated.

"Seemed to be the most popular hotel, rooms were clean but lacking the coffee maker, microwave combo most places have. Coffee can be had in the lobby which can be quite a long walk. Beds comfy, staff very friendly and sweet every time! Our favorite go-to on PutInBay!"

"We liked our stay here. ALL of the staff were outstanding. The building could certainly use updated mechanicals and walls/ceiling/doors/trim show their age. Not much that staff can do about that. We understand a renovation is planned in the near future. Breakfast was great and all of the staff were OUTSTANDING."
