"The place was built a 100 yrs ago and has never been updated. There breakfast bar consisted of a waffle or a bowl of cereal with a gal of milk in a small fridge. If you were lucky they may have had some coffee. The only good thang was the ac unit in the room. All outside drink machines and ice machines did not work. I will not waste money on this dump next time. Sorry for the bad review but it was just horrible."

"Great location and very clean, the bad was some guest playing loud music in the middle of the night and cars with loud muffler warming the car in the morning.
Great place to stay."

"We stayed here when we got stuck in Scottsboro due to icy roads. The staff was nice and helped us secure two rooms. The other hotels were booked and we thought we would sleep in the car. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable . It could use a little remodeling but for the price it was good. "

Good
My family is from Fort Payne and I have watched it grow, SLOWLY over the years. It has turned into a fairly decent little, valley town. There is plenty to do close by and it isn't far from bigger cities with typical big city stuff to do.

I love fort payne. I brought my 73 year old mother to walkers chapel cemetery because that's where her parents, brother, sister and so many other relatives. She's sick and this will be her last time and wanted to be able to say goodbye to her family.

Fort Payne is a very pretty area. The hotel is conveniently located near Interstate 59 but in a very commercial (not attractive) area.
"We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was clean & very quiet. They had a really good selection of hot breakfast items too. We would definitely stay there again."
"The staff was extremely accommodating and professional. Special recognition for Mrs. Anita for being so kind and attentive.
Prompt with amenities requests, and also with pest control services.

"The only improvement I can think of is better signage for where to turn off the main road. We went on something of a wild goose chase, even using Google maps because the Hampton Inn sign was so small and didn't stand out. Otherwise, it was just perfect."
"Very nice stay clean quiet rooms. Proprietor on site and attentive to my needs during a 4 day stay. Pillows were nice and comfortable, making for a restful night sleep. "
