"Great location for a family trip to NYC. The hotel is not in the best condition, but since we were just wanting a place to crash at night, this was not a problem. And this was the cheapest place by far. Great value as it was about a half mile walk to a train that would take you into Manhattan. "

It was nice to do tourist things but then finish the day in a real neighborhood. Easy to move around with the subway stations nearby.

"Had an amazing experience from check in to parking the car. Friendly and helpful staff. Was a great place to stay would recommend if your going to Madison Square garden. "
"The hotel is absolutely stunning, and the pleasant scent throughout makes you want to stay forever. Its location is perfect, all the main attractions in New York are within walking distance, which is incredibly convenient. Dining options around the hotel are endless, with some of the best restaurants in Midtown just steps away.
The staff were outstanding, always going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to New York."
"Love this place. Was exactly as described. Feels like a cross between a hostel with shared bathrooms and a pod hotel with the privacy. Was quiet overall compared to a hostel, but noisier than a fully self-contained pod hotel. The extra touches made it nicer than either. No real ceiling, more of a trellis. The cleaning staff was present, visible, friendly, and consistent. Great location. Hard to read sign out front until you’ve seen it once. Happy there is a women’s only floor. Thought I would be the oldest person there. Young crowd overall, but saw people in there 50s like me also. Would very happily stay there again. "
"Staff was very attentive. They are willing to hold bags at the desk and actually give a claim ticket. Location has many dining and shopping options nearby and easy access to subways. Unplugged our toilet without complaint. Easy walk to Penn Station and Amtrak. "
"Stayed for four days and had a wonderful experience. The Hotel is in a great location and easy to get to many places especially when eating. Staff were super friendly and helpful!! I am never disappointed when I stay at Hotel Edison!! "
"The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room had a great view of the Empire State Building. The hotel was close to a subway stop that could take us everywhere we had planned to visit. "
"I stayed here last year so I was expecting no ac and falling apart furniture. Luckily our room was impecable, clean, ac working tooooo good, hot water in Shower and clean comfy beds. Of courseee the elevator took forever but I had patience and it was nothing. They def need a tiny fridge in the rooms that would fit. We made our own ice bucket that cost me ice daily because that also didn’t work. I would stay here again. Location is prime. "
"Service and staff were friendly and courteous.
Lobby and elevators were nice. Room was great.
I love that it's on a side street of Times Square. Sidewalks aren't as crowded. "
