"Decent if not a dark room. The room was pet friendly and close to the walking and pet relief areas. The location is central and easy to get to Carmel by the Sea and Monterey. Value for the money is just average for the area. "

"For the price, I thought this inn was very good. Overall, I would recommend this for someone on a budget that doesn't mind driving a few mins to get into downtown, the cannery, or the aquarium.
Location: It's a little further away from the aquarium, but the price makes up for it. One plus is that it's right across the street from a shopping center, which provides something to do and has food options.
Facility: It's an older inn, but they try to keep it clean which is what matters. "

"Very nice and spacious hotel room! We had a fireplace in our room, though we didn’t need it. There’s no air conditioner, so we did have to open the bathroom window to cool it off at the end of the day. It’s an older hotel but it was, hands down, the cleanest hotel I’ve ever seen in my life! "My friends and I stayed for a couple days for my birthday and it was a great stay, food was good but had limited options, wish the hot tub worked but it’s ok. Everything in the room was nice only thing I would say negatively is I wish the floors were a little cleaner, we took our shoes off and walked around for maybe 5-10 min and our feet were black. Overall great stay though thank you! "
"We switched up hotels and wanted to try a new spot in town. When I was booking it the night before I waited to long and it was all booked up, but the day of our anniversary they had a cancellation and I grabbed it! This place was extremely clean and comfortable, the staff was amazingly friendly and hospitable. Looks to be newly remodeled as well. We will be definitely staying here again! Thank you :)"
"The snacks in the evening and the breakfast were great. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The only downside was we picked a room with a balcony, but we couldn’t go out on the balcony because it was swarming with bugs, night and day."

"5 STARS..... I absolutely loved this place. The rooms are clean, and the beds were comfortable, grounds are well kept. The staff was amazing I was able to communicate via text, and all my wishes were met quickly . I had the opportunity to visit the bar with complementary wine card they gave us when we got there, it was a birthday trip, and after a long day at the aquarium, it was welcomed . They even have smores service ,nice touch.
Such a nice and relaxed atmosphere the bartender was very helpful with questions I had. I also was able to have a delicious breakfast in the hotel restaurant I had pancakes verry good, then I was entertained by dolphins passing by, and my server was great. Yes it is expensive and you have to pay for parking but can you really put a price on a wonderful experience? I also like its not to close to the to the Chaos of downtown but close enough to get there in few minutes and its dog friendly with immediate entrance to the beach. I highly recommend would absolutely do it again. Thank you Monterey Beach Hotel, A Tribute portfolio Hotel, for making our stay a joyful experience, I cant say enough Just thank you, from all of us!"

"We have returned to this hotel several times. Centrally located so it’s a quick walk to Cannery Row and the pier. Room is spacious, clean, good water pressure. Check in was super quick and friendly. Great little fridge in the room, fireplaces are a nice touch. Easy parking. No carpet which I LOVE! Room was quiet.
