Roaring River Resort
10/10 Excellent
"I had a wonderful experience during my recent stay at Roaring River. The rooms were exceptionally quiet and peaceful, providing the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The cleanliness standards were impressive - everything was spotless and well-maintained throughout my visit.
What really stood out was the staff. Everyone I encountered was genuinely friendly and welcoming, making me feel valued as a guest from check-in to check-out. Their warm hospitality added so much to the overall experience.
I would definitely recommend Roaring River to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and peaceful place to stay with outstanding service. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Mine was a business trip."
"Property was great, beds were comfortable, food was DELICIOUS, atmosphere was perfect, and everyone was friendly and helpful! Well thought out by Ian and Ella and well executed by them and their staff! Was really great to be able to talk to Ian in person since they live right above the lodge! Would love to come back but would CERTAINLY book direct with Ian's instead of through Expedia for this property in the future. Expedia makes it sound all-inclusive, but there were limitations (no bar snacks, only local-alcohol (not a huge deal for us) but no adventures were included (other than complimentary guided botanical gardens tour) since we booked through Expedia, whereas adventures would have been if we booked direct. Like booking through Expedia because we can book flights at the same time; and have never run into these discrepancies between all-inclusivity at other stays we'd run through Expedia. On the day our one excursion with the lodge was cancelled - due to weather - we found other activities to fill the 'void' quickly...checking out the Inland Blue Hole across the street from the property's driveway (just a short 10-20 min walk), walking the botanical gardens, and getting signed up that morning for afternoon horseback riding for our kids!
We felt very safe and taken care of at Caves Branch and will recommend it to anyone! We'd love to come back for a longer stay to experience more of this wonderful country, property, and all the beauty and adventure it beholds!
